Dianne Herold
Arlo & Eros, Black German Shepherds
"Dianne started in the sport of Schutzhund in
2005 with her GSD Arlo. Arlo received his
SchH 1 title in October 2006. Not long
afterwards, while focusing on working
towards a SchH 2 title, Arlo was diagnosed
with liver disease. Dianne continues to train
Arlo in the sport under a modified training
regime that is less intense. He continues to
enjoy the sport and recently received his
SchH 2 title. Dianne is also working with her
younger GSD, Eros. Eros received his BH title
in 2008, and Dianne is focusing on his SchH
titles for 2010. Both dogs are extremely fun
to work with and the club environment is
very supportive and social.
Dianne has been competing in AAC agility with two other GSDs, Blaze and Cole. Blaze has had great success in this sport, which is challenging and stimulating for the dogs and handlers.
Dianne also competes in CKC tracking tests, having completed TD titles on both Arlo and Eros in 2009. She will be working towards the more advanced CKC tracking titles in 2010.
Dianne has a love for the sport of Schutzhund, as it tests the dogs on so many different attributes. It is challenging and fun, and there is a huge sense of accomplishment when you are successful at a trial. But most importantly, we are enhancing the bond we have with our dogs, and we are having fun together."
