WELCOME TO THE SAUGEEN SCHUTZHUND CLUB
Karen Brown
Tucker & Bones,
German Shepherd Dog

I brought Tucker, my
10-week-old GSD puppy,
home in January 2002. I've
been a golf course Assistant
Superintendent since 1996 and
from day one, he has come to
the golf course with me every
day. Tucker joined our aging
resident goose dog to control
the unending Canadian goose
population on the course.
Intending to raise Tucker as a pet, we took part in companion puppy training during his first year. Later, I wanted to try something more challenging with him and looked into tracking. Everyone I talked to gave me Pando's name. After speaking with him, we started semi-private tracking and obedience training in the spring of 2005. We earned our CKC TD, Bh and TR1 in the fall of 2005.
I joined Saugeen Schutzhund Club in January 2006 and began our protection training.
We also took part in the first GSDCC Temperament Evaluation Certification in June 2006. In October 2006, Tucker received his SchH 1 with HS tracking and tied for HS Protection.

Tucker is now retired from schutzhund competition but we will continue to train for more advanced tracking titles. He has received his CKC TDX and UTD.  But regardless of all this, first and foremost he's my best friend and we take care of each other.

Bones is my new schutzhund prospect. We have started our training and hope to progress thoughout the next few years.
